All-School Service Project Started this Week!
The theme this year is Catholic Schools: Faith. Academics. Service. The week has been planned with activities that demonstrate each of those characteristics.
For the service project we are going to put together birthday bags for the Catholic Charities Food Shelf.
• Students in Preschool and Kindergarten are collecting Cake Mixes - White, Chocolate, or Marble
• Students in grades 1, 2, and 3, are collecting Canned Frosting – White or Chocolate
• Students in grades 4, 5, and 6 are collecting New unopened birth candles small new gift items to put in the Birthday Bags Examples: stuffed toy, book, pencils, cards, trinkets, etc.
• At the Birthday Mass for the month of January this Friday, the 27th, students will take to the altar what they have brought. This is the Friday before the official beginning of Catholic Schools Week.
• During Catholic Schools Week the 2nd graders will decorate the bags
• On Friday, February 3, we will have a birthday party at which SFX will present a person from the parish food shelf committee with the Birthday Bags.
PAA Basketball
There is no PAA Boys’ Basketball game this week due to the unavailability of a gym.
On Saturday the PAA Girls; Basketball team plays SPPM.

Sartell Middle School 8th grader, Alyssa Franzmeier, won the District Spelling Bee on Monday night. She will go on to regional’s at St. John’s University on February 15th. Congratulations, Alyssa!
Diocesan Safe Environment Training for Adults
There is Diocesan Safe Environment Training for Adults. Without the training and a criminal background check, a person may not volunteer at SFX. For more details please refer to January 12 issue of the Franny Flier. You may find Franny Fliers on our website.

Catholic United Financial Raffle for SFX Off to a Great Start!
We are off to a great start! In less than one week; over $700 has already been raised for SFX!
The names of SFX families who turn money and ticket stubs in to the school office this week, January 23-27, will be in a drawing for a $50 gift card to Space Aliens. The winning family for the week will be announced at 3:00 p.m. on Friday when the 6th graders do daily prayer and announcements.
PLEASE MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO SFX.
IMPORTANT*** A raffle is considered gaming, and we must abide by gaming regulations. Each ticket is numbered. SFX has to keep track of which tickets each family has. The ticket stubs and money, or unsold tickets, must be returned to the school office.
Selling Raffle Tickets after Masses

Catholic United Financial members will sell tickets this weekend and again once in February. It is our school community’s responsibility to sell tickets after Masses on the weekends listed below. Please look at the opportunities below and sign up to sell after a Mass. It only takes a few minutes. Spaces indicated open times that volunteers are needed.
