SOCIAL JUSTICE CONCERNS GROUP
Our Mission Statement:
We foster education, prayer and action around social justice concerns of the day and reach out to the parish in various ways to build the reign of God in our midst."
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in being a part of in a more intentional way, please consider joining us monthly to pray, be educated and look for ways we can "become what we eat" each Sunday. Our plan is to meet the 4th Thursday of each month from 6:30-8 pm in Xavier Hall.
Our next meeting is on Thursday, May 24th at 6:30 pm. For more information contact: Molly Weyrens at mollyweyrens@gmail.com.
Those in the group include: Marcie Popowski, Rhonda Mastey, Tracy Johnson, Carol Hart, Deb & Stan Weinberger and Molly Weyrens. Feel free to contact any of them for more information as well. We hope to see you on the 24th and look forward to how this might enrich our parish and build up the Kingdom we've been entrusted to serve.
THEOLOGY ON TAP
Our next Theology on Tap gathering will take place on Tuesday, May 8th and our speaker is Fr. John Paul Knopik. Since May in the month of Mary, he will be speaking about the Blessed Virgin Mary and her role in our salvation, her helping hand in leading us closer to her son Jesus and the spirituality of St. Louis de Montfort.
Fr. John Paul is a powerful speaker. If you ever had questions about the Mother of our Lord Jesus, this is the Theology On Tap for you! This month we are meeting at Granite City Food & Brewery at 7:00 pm. Remember to bring a friend and an appetite for fellowship and food. Can't wait to see you there.
